Journal of the Chemical Society

Das Journal of the Chemical Society, üblicherweise mit J. Chem. Soc. abgekürzt, war eine Fachzeitschrift für Chemie, die von 1849 bis 1877 und von 1926 bis 1965 von der Royal Society of Chemistry in London herausgegeben wurde.

1965 wurde das Journal of the Chemical Society aufgeteilt und entsprechend der Fachdisziplinen der Chemie entstanden drei unabhängige Zeitschriftenreihen. Für ungeprüfte Kurzmitteilungen wurden fortan die Chemical Communications publiziert, die gleichzeitig die alte Zeitschriftenreihe Proceedings of the Chemical Society ablösten:
