Sheldon Wolin

Sheldon S. Wolin (* 4. August 1922 in Chicago; vollständiger Name Sheldon Sanford Wolin<ref>Sheldon Sanford Wolin in Oxford Index (Stand: 5. Mai 2015)</ref>; † 21. Oktober 2015 in Salem, Oregon<ref>Political theorist Sheldon Wolin dies at 93</ref>) war ein US-amerikanischer Politikwissenschaftler mit dem Schwerpunkt Politische Theorie.

Wolin promovierte 1950 an der Harvard University mit der Dissertation Conservatism and Constitutionalism: A Study in English Constitutional Ideas, 1760–1785. Er lehrte von 1973 bis 1987 an der Princeton University, an der er zuletzt als Emeritus tätig war.<ref name="princeton">Sheldon S. Wolin auf princeton.edu (Stand: 5. Mai 2015)</ref> Zudem lehrte er am Oberlin College sowie an der University of California, Berkeley von 1954 bis 1970, an der University of California, Santa Cruz und University of California, Los Angeles, außerdem an der Cornell University und der University of Oxford.<ref>Sheldon S.
