Remember the Time ist ein Pop-Song des US-amerikanischen Sängers Michael Jackson aus dem Jahr 1992. Er wird auch dem New Jack Swing zugerechnet. Der Song wurde am 14. Januar 1992 als zweite Single aus dem Album Dangerous veröffentlicht.

Geschichte

Der Song wurde von Teddy Riley, Michael Jackson und Bernard Belle geschrieben, produziert wurde er von Riley und Jackson. Der Song ist Dance-orientiert. Er erreichte Platz 3 der Charts in den USA und landete auf Platz 1 der Billboard's R&B singles charts. Auch in Großbritannien erreichte er Platz 3. Außerdem wurde er ein Top-Ten-Hit in neun Ländern. Musikvideo

Ein Neun-Minuten-Musikvideo wurde von John Singleton gedreht. Es spielt im alten Ägypten. Eddie Murphy spielt den Pharao, Iman Abdulmajid spielt dessen Frau, mit der Jackson im Video flirtet. In anderen Rollen erschienen The Pharcyde und Magic Johnson. Das Video benutzte eine aufwändige Tricktechnik, die den sich drehenden Michael Jackson in Sandkörner auflöste.
